Business Process Management and Social Web Technologies to Elevate the Non-governmental Sector

Social capital of today's civic society diminishes, which sounds as a paradox. In the paper we briefly evaluate reasons behind these trends first in order to evaluate, how could information technology, process reengineering, followed with engagement of social software help in the current crisis of civic engagement, volunteerism and social relations in general, with specific focus on non-governmental non-profit organizations.
